Confidence // Pt. One

I have believed for a long time that Confidence makes the world go ‘round. That when we go after life with a certain level of Confidence, our life levels up.

I still believe that and now I believe that’s also possible with Self Confidence. A newly learned gem.

There is a very important difference between the two. Confidence is based on external factors, most notably evidence from our past. Self Confidence, on the other hand, is based entirely on internal factors, most notably on our beliefs/ opinions of our self without evidence.

When we have confidence in something it’s because we’re relying on what we’ve achieved or created in our past. When we’re self confident, we’re willing to go after the new and take risks.

Self Confidence is the emotion of growth. It propels us. It’s antagonist is self doubt.

Self Confidence is being secure in yourself and your abilities. It’s your ability to trust yourself, knowing that you can experience any emotion (including failure) without being harmed, and it’s your overall opinion of yourself.

Self Confidence is what you think about yourself if/when you fail. It allows you to move towards your dreams.

Ask yourself: on a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your current level of Self Confidence?
